My specialty is in biological anthropology, with an emphasis in primatology. I am interested in the primate-human interface and how this research might inform current and future conservation strategies. I hope that by examining these interactions across a variety of contexts (zoos, ecotourism, agriculture, entertainment, etc.), primatologists can better understand the impacts humans have had on the behavior and survival of nonhuman primates. In addition, I am fascinated by how to apply these interests to a career with conservation groups/organizations, non-profits, or the government.
